2008 Daffodil Collection for GCV Members

Catalyst 2W-R    Late-midseason 17”   Large cylindrical brilliant red corona with broad white perianth of heavy substance.

Jetstart 2 W-O   Early 12”   A slightly smaller quite unusual flower, with broad white reflexing petals and bright orange mid-length corona.

Minute Waltz   6 YYW-Y   Midseason   13” Long tubular corona and reflexing perianth of bright lemon with a white halo;   in sunny conditions, the corona becomes nearly white, except for a lemon slightly ruffled rim.

Protocol 6 W-W   Early   11”   A small flower, ideal for   its division.   Long tubular white corona with narrow base, slightly expanded at the margin.   Rather narrow perianth with graceful reflex.

Pink Morn 2 W-GWP Late midseason 17”.   Broad, smooth white perianth with very clear pure pink mid-length corona with a green eye.

Trumpet Warrior 1 YYW-WWY.   Midseason 21”.   When mature the pure white trumpet is flared with a moderate lemon ruffle.   Flat spade shaped perianth segments of sharp lemon with white halo.   Probably our best reverse bicolor trumpet.

Vienna Woods 9 W-R   Late   16”   Rounded, poet white smooth perianth with   a flat all red very small corona.

There will not be a Tried and True Collection for 2008.

The Collection will be $30.00 for 6 cultivars.  Orders are to be placed through your club’s Daffodil Chairman. Deadline for orders will be June 1, 2008.   For additional information contact Glenna Graves, GCV Daffodil Chairman.

There are only 6 cultivars for the collection.   Minute Waltz and Protocol will be listed as one.   There will be 200+ bulbs of the first cultivar and the remainder using the second.   We do place very large orders and as you have noted before, at times we do have “substitutions’ due to lack of original cultivar.
