The Edith Hardison Walker
Perpetual Award
This award was presented by
the Martinsville Garden Club and the Garden Study Club in 1977 in
appreciation of Mrs. Walker's outstanding work as Daffodil Test

This bowl is given in memory
of Louise Morris Goodwin of Roanoke Valley Garden Club, in

This award was given by Mrs.
Howard B. Bloomer, Jr. in recognition of the many contributions made
by Miss Rustin as Daffodil Test Chairman for The Garden Club of

child-two cultivars, one being the parent (seed and pollen) of the
other. May be won only one time by an exhibitor. Awarded for the
first time in 1982.

Award
This award was given by the
Hunting Creek Garden Club in recognition of the commitment to
excellence exemplified by Mrs. Crenshaw during her nine years as
Daffodil Test Chairman of The Garden Club of Virginia. Given to an
exhibitor who has never won a blue ribbon in a show approved by The
American Daffodil Society for a Single Specimen in any division, the
award is a tribute to Mrs. Crenshaw's encouragement of daffodil
growers and her willingness to share her experience and knowledge
with the novice. This award was first given in 1996.

This award was given in honor of Mr.
William G. Pannill by his nieces, Lucy Carter Wilson and Jane Carter
Vaughan, in recognition of his hybridizing and promotion of daffodil
horticulture. The award is to be given annually at the Garden Club
of Virginia Show, to be held for one year. It is to be awarded for
five different cultivars, one stem each, from at least three of the
first seven divisions. The cultivars must have been bred by Mr. Pannill. The exhibitor cannot win in two consecutive years. This
award was first presented in 2004.
