The Historic Kent-Valentine House
Serving as headquarters for the Garden Club of Virginia and
Historic Garden Week,
the Kent-Valentine House is the central office for this statewide
organization, its membership and staff. The Kent-Valentine House has been restored to its 19th century grandeur and renovated to meet the needs of the 21st century. Flanked by majestic magnolia trees and with Roman Ionic columns creating an architectural effect of elegance, this imposing eighteen room antebellum residence is one of the last dwellings in downtown Richmond surrounded by the original trees. This mansion offers a unique setting to hold a business meeting or special gathering. Accommodating up to 125 guests, the 1st floor of the house includes a large kitchen with all the amenities for your chef, three parlors, an oversized dining room and a bright sun porch overlooking the magnolias. The meeting room, located on the third floor, is equipped with the latest Wi-Fi technology and wireless conference equipment has space to accommodating up to 100 guests. The house is situated in Richmond’s historic Monroe Ward district, conveniently located a few blocks from I-195. We are open to the public Monday through Friday, 9am - 4pm by appointment only.
