Printing
Printing is one of the largest expenses. If there is more than one printer in your locality, secure bids for the show schedule and letterhead, as well as for posters and signs. Consider the weight of the paper for the schedule as it increases postage; GCV letterhead is available.
- With the Host Club Show Chairman, determine printing needs: letterheads, letters of invitation, dinner invitations, return address labels, nametags, signs, posters, mini-schedules/ handouts, etc. and the total number of schedules.
- Accept bids, select printer, and set up deadlines.
- Submit materials to printer and closely follow progress. Proof and reproof copy. Schedule must be proofed and approved by GCV Flower Shows Chairman and appropriate GCV Flower Chairman before printing.
- Work with Registration Chairman on the number of schedules and pertinent information (letter of invitation) needed for mailing.
- Work with Publicity Chairman on stationery/letterhead, posters or flyers to be printed.
- Work with Hospitality and Show Judges’ Chairmen on invitations.
- Work with Staging Chairman to make signs for show floor.
- Work with Properties Chairman to repair or replace signs or display cards.
