GENERAL INFORMATION

The Kent-Valentine House is on the corner of 1st Street and Franklin Street.  Grace Street (one way going West) is parallel to and one block South of Broad Street.  Franklin Street (one way going East) is parallel to and one block South of Grace Street.  1st Street is one way going South.

FROM EAST

Follow I-64 West to Exit 190 (5th Street).  Go south on 5th Street and turn right on Grace Street. Follow Grace to 1st Street and turn left.  Go 1/2 block and turn right at the gate into private parking area behind the K-V House or park on the street (2 hour limit).  K-V House is at the corner of 1st and Franklin.

FROM NORTH AND WEST

From the west, follow I-64 East to the intersection with I-95 South.  Take I-95 South to the Belvidere Exit (about 2 miles).  When you come off the exit ramp, turn left at the traffic light, keep to the right lane and go to the next light at Belvidere.  Turn right.  Stay on Belvidere moving over to the left lane.  At the 5th light turn left onto Franklin Street.  Follow Franklin towards downtown, past the Jefferson Hotel and the YMCA (corner of Foushee and Franklin).  The Kent-Valentine House is on the left at the corner of 1st and Franklin.  You can park on the street (2 hour limit).

FROM SOUTH

From I-95 take Exit 74-C to Broad Street West.  Follow Broad to 8th Street and turn left.  Take 8th to Grace Street and turn right.  Follow Grace Street to 1st Street and turn left.  Go 1/2 block and turn right at the gate into private parking area behind the K-V House or park on the street (2 hour limit).  K-V House is at the corner of 1st and Franklin.

FROM SOUTHWEST

Take Rt. 360 East to Rt. 288 (just beyond Brandermill).  Go north on Rt. 288 to Powhite Parkway Extension (Rt. 76).  Go east on Powhite to Downtown Expressway (Rt. 195).  Follow Downtown Expressway to 2nd Street Exit.  Go left (North) on 2nd Street. to Grace Street and turn left.  Go one block to 1st Street and turn left.  Go 1/2 block and turn right at the gate into private parking area behind the K-V House or park on the street (2 hour limit).  K-V House is at the corner of 1st and Franklin.

PARKING

There is a parking lot on Grace Street on the right just beyond the intersection with 1st Street.  If you do turn left on to 1st Street, go 1/2 block and turn right at the gate into the (few) private parking spaces behind K-V House.  There is also some parking on the street (two hour limit).
