Restorations

Proceeds from Historic Garden Week have financed more than forty restorations since 1929.  After almost eighty years,  The Garden Club of Virginia continues to restore a vital segment of Virginia's splendid landscape.

Basic principals apply to all restorations....

  • Each garden must be open to the public on a regular basis.

  • The property's governing body must approve the restoration project.

  • The property's governing body must agree to maintain the restoration.

  • The Garden Club of Virginia engages professional landscape architects to plan and oversee the restorations.

  • Terms for Historic Landscape Restorations
