The mission of the Winchester-Clarke Garden club is exclusively charitable and educational. Our goal is to stimulate and encourage the knowledge and love of gardening, to aid in the protection of native plants,  to encourage civic planning and planting, to aid in the restoration and presentation of historic gardens and landmarks in Virginia, to promote conservatism and to do all things necessary in connection with any of the above objectives.  It reflects the mission of the Garden Club of Virginia, which exists to celebrate the beauty of the land, to conserve the gifts of nature and to challenge future generations to build on this heritage.  It upholds the mission of the Garden Club of America which is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to share the advantages of association by means of educational meetings, conferences, correspondence and publications, and to restore, improve and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and action in the fields of conservation and civic improvement.
